Art of Ride: Turning Denver Streets into an Urban Art Museum

From RiNo to Cap Hill to Confluence Park, Denver’s burgeoning urban art scene provides the backdrop for our new CatEye cycling social media campaign: “Art of Ride.”

Drive through any of these neighborhoods and you might catch a glimpse of a mural or a flash of color as you pass by. Ride though them on two wheels, and you experience the full impact of these compelling installations.

That got us thinking…what would these pieces look like if we took that same bike route at night, and highlighted each work of art with a CatEye Bicycle headlight?

Amélie tapped urban explorer and local artist Pedro Barrios to curate a nighttime bike tour, photographing each stop along the way. Outfitted with a CatEye light, Barrios handpicked the route that leads riders safely through Denver’s concrete jungle from installation to installation.

Unveiled one stop at a time, “Art of Ride” literally shines a light on Denver’s most compelling urban art.
